Independent, verified, beginner-first

Air Rifle USA is a small, independent guide for adults (and their families) who want to try recreational air-rifle target shooting and do not know where to begin. The domain name says USA; the site's honesty policy says the rest: we are not a national governing body, we are not affiliated with the CMP, AAFTA, 4-H, or any range, and "USA" describes our focus — not an official status.

How listings work

• Every directory fact traces to a source we name — the organization's own pages first, then association listings. We do not copy other directories.
• Each listing shows the date we last checked it. Ranges change fees and schedules; treat every figure as "as of" its date.
• When an answer is not published, we write that instead of guessing. An honest "ask first" beats a confident wrong answer.
• Corrections are welcome and free: tell us what is wrong and we will re-verify and update, with the new date.

Editorial honesty

Our guides describe common practice at organized programs and cite official pages where we state specifics. They are orientation, not safety training, and not a substitute for your range officer's instructions. Nothing on this site is legal advice; firearms and airgun law varies by state and locality.

What this site is not

• Not a gun store, and we do not sell firearms or airguns.
• Not a review blog for products — the directory and guides come first.
• Not a place to buy anything: we link to organizations so you can contact them directly.

Reviewer status

We are explicit about this: sport-content review by an experienced air-rifle coach is part of our quality bar, and that review is in progress, not yet complete. Until it completes, treat guides as carefully sourced but unreviewed by an independent expert. If you are an experienced shooter or coach willing to review, we would like to hear from you.
